New Musical Adventure for Joe Bonamassa

2013 is shaping up to be another dynamic year for Joe Bonamassa, as evidenced by the new press release about his latest musical adventure with a group of Los Angeles-based session musicians, Rock Candy Funk Party (RCFP).

This classic 70s and 80s funk and jazz band comprise Tal Bergman on drums, Ron DeJesus on guitar, Mike Merritt on bass, Renato Neto on keyboards, and Joe Bonamassa on guitar (playing "his home stuff"). At this moment, it is unclear to me who sings.

The name of the band's first collaboration:  We Want O Groove, seems fitting to the genre of funk and jazz.

A two night CD release party is scheduled for January 23 and 24, 2013 at infamous The Baked Potato in California, where the band will perform two shows each night and distribute 200 copies of We Want O Groove to those attending. Tickets are limited. Check website for details.

RCFP is full throttle in promoting their sound by offering a free song download. Click here to download: http://bit.ly/Rx54db

You can also check out their official website, read bios, pre-order the CD, buy merchandise and more. http://www.rockcandyfunkparty.com/

Look for my full album review later this month.
