Rock Candy Funk Party Debut CD Release Party

I consider myself extremely fortunate to have stumbled upon Joe Bonamassa on the Palladia channel in June 2010. Everyday beholds something new in "BonaWorld" and that brings me much pleasure.

I have seen and met Joe on several occasions; formed new and lasting friendships, and write about those experiences, today.

As a result of my obsessive blogging, here, on Facebook, and Twitter, one fellow fan read my post about Joe and his new side project. Subsequently, that fan was able to purchase tickets to see Rock Candy Funk Party perform their entire debut album "We Want Groove." The band celebrated by throwing a two night, four gig, CD release party at The Baked Potato, Studio City, CA. Tickets were limited at this tiny venue; 50 seats/30 standing spots per event. All four sold out!

Mike flew from Ohio to CA to be part of this momentous event; took a bunch of photos and said he had a blast. Thanks Mike for sharing these with music fans from around the world.

Make sure to take a step back in time, to the '70s and '80s jazz-funk era, and sample We Want Groove (for free) here. Then, look for my full album review later this month at Bluebirdreviews.

Yours in music,
